There’s a certain delight to the shorter days and longer nights that come with winter. No, just me?
With the calendar now closer to Christmas than the equinox, it’s officially time to switch gears from summer to something more cosy. Goodbye, frozen coffee and summer dresses, hello hot chocolates and heavy knitted jumpers. With every new season comes a new set of trends (your AW18 cheat sheet is here) and while we’re not saying you need to throw everything out and start again, there are certain items that are just more relevant this winter than they were last. And, we’re not even talking about the trend-driven prints and fabrics that are divisive game changers, no we’re talking about the boring basics that no one notices until they tip from fine to frumpy when the fashion dial moves. Helpfully, October weather isn’t what it use to be and with the forecast still hovering around temperatures we’d expect to see in mid-September we’re not expecting to need half the switch ups anytime soon. That said, stock up.
