Brilliantly, since we wrote this, the @Mossy1974 account has taken on a life of its own and a mystery reader appears to have made an actual Instagram under that name. Viva Mossy1974!

11.30am: Oh-ma-gawd: we've found the fashion holy grail! It's taken months of searching but we've managed to track down Kate Moss's Instagram account. Featuring cameos from Sadie Frost, Chloe Green and even... we can't breath... Johnny Depp, it's the most exciting social media discovery of our year so far. There's even clues to what her new Topshop collection's going to look like. Yes, really!
Kate appears to be a regular Instagram user, uploading snaps from her holidays, her festival fun and her family life. Pictures show her hanging out with husband Jamie Hince and even playing with adorable little Lila Grace. One of our favourites shows Jamie hanging out with their pet pooch with the caption '#hunky #rockstar #thekills'. Bless.

Mossy's account isn't all personal snaps though. It seems she's a fan of a #throwback. She's uploaded pictures of herself partying with Pete Doherty, Naomi Campbell (yes, she parodied Cara's 'you can't sit with us' Mean Girls post) and, of course, Mr Depp. Calling herself and Johnny '#jackettwinnies', the shot shows the duo with matching tousled fringes and leather bombers.
Our favourite pictures of all are Kate's #regrams. The model seems to love putting younger fashionistas in their place with ironic catty comments. 'Seriously though. Stop even trying to do festival chic like me' she writes underneath a shot of Alexa Chung at Coachella. A picture from a Cara Delevingne Burberry campaign gets a similar treatment. 'The new me? Not gonna happen' she posts.
