**3. Think positively **
It may seem cliché but if you let yourself be sucked into the Blue Monday pit, it will be hard to get out. Try to focus on the good things in your life today. If Kanye can raise a smile, so can you.
**4. Remember there’s a light at the end of the tunnel **
Although it doesn’t feel like it, the days have been getting longer for almost a month. With the sun due to set at 4.23pm today it won’t be long before we wave goodbye to leaving work in what feels like the dead of night. On another note, if you’re doing Dry January you’re almost at the finish line!
**5. Put the kettle on **
Is there anything a hot mug of tea can’t solve? This cat gets it…
6. Treat yourself
Craving some pizza? Or can't stop thinking about that chocolate brownie? We officially give you permission to enjoy a guilt-free day, go on...
7. Watch a funny film
Feel-good films are the perfect thing to get you out of your Blue Monday slump. Stick on some classic Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman or My Best Friends Wedding, or if you need a right old laugh, Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy in* Bridesmaids* never fail!
**8. Countdown to Broadchurch **
9pm may seem far away but if you’ve followed the rest of our tips it will be here before you know it. Olivia Coleman, David Tennant and the rest of the cast (plus a few new faces) are back for the gripping and dramatic second series of the ITV show. The third epsiode airs tonight.
