Spring has finally sprung and that can only mean one thing - it’s time for a spring clean. Aside from using it as an excuse to shop a whole new look, here at Grazia HQ we’re turning our sights inside and jumping on board the upcycling trend.

However, if you’re anything like us, when it comes to DIY the simpler the better! So here are 5 easy ways to breathe new life into your humble abode….

**1. Give everyday items a new purpose - **Old tea pots look fab as quirky herb planters in the kitchen and old mason jars make the perfect vintage toothbrush holders.

2.Embrace shabby-chic - If your bedside tables are looking a bit tired give them a face lift with a chalky finish paint. (Fuss free options like this one don’t require any priming or sanding. Simples!)

3. Spray it- This fabric spray paintcomes with a warning…you might get a little carried away. You can use it on vinyl, leather and even your shoes?!

4. Get creative – If you’re renting your home and can’t change the colour of your walls you can still make the space your own by repurposing old photo-frames, the bottom of wine glasses or coffee table tops as a chalkboard.

5. Add a copper touch- Copper is big on the interior scene right now. From jewellery bowls to coat hooks, adding a copper touch here and there is nifty way to bring tired home accessories back up to date.
