5 Outfits To See You Through The Working Week

Stylish office-appropriate solutions

What to wear to work

by Elizabeth Bennett |

Despite dressing for work roughly 235 days each year (sorry if that depresses you), cracking the office wear conundrum never gets any easier. Throw into the mix the current unpredictable weather (mini heatwave one minute, Storm Gareth the next) and you have quite the sartorial challenge on your hands.

Fear not though, we’re here to prevent the inevitable wardrobe crisis ahead. This week we’re looking to the well dressed women on the fashion month circuit for inspiration, and their style solutions are applicable regardless of your industry.

Take your cue from fashion influencer Bettina Looney and Instagram’s Head of Fashion Eva Chen and give classic work wardrobe pieces a 2019 twist. Consider pairing flared black trousers with a graphic print shirt and wide waist belt, or styling a tailored tartan skirt with a lightweight polo neck and two-tone mules. Alternatively, why not extend the life of your evening wear by dressing down a slip skirt with a smart knit, or wearing a midi dress with knee high boots?
