As an eternal maximalist who likes to spend her spare time watching Funny Face and contemplating how I could possibly dress like everyone in that film for my everyday life, I can't say that the concept of an outfit consisting of a fluffy jumper and jeans exactly excites me. That is, however, until I saw such a combination on Sienna Miller. As someone who was at her most impressionable (i.e a teenage girl) circa. 2006 when Miller was dominating magazines with her seemingly effortless boho style, it's fair to say I have not been surprised by the recent return of a collective obsession over her every outfit. I am, therefore, happy to join in with said obsession and let you know that I've found this cosy ensemble on the high street, so you can live out your own Miller cosplay dreams.
Miller's full outfit, which is about the ideal thing to wear on those in-between days over Christmas, can be seen in a recent Instagram post from Jinah Shin, a tattoo artist who works for New York's famous Bang Bang Tattoo studio. Shin posted a picture of herself with Miller, alongside another image of the latter's new tattoo which is, incidentally, a snowdrop. Miller is wearing a fluffy cream jumper from Toteme, Citizens of Humanity's Miro Relaxed Jeans and her beloved Sylvie boots from Gucci (now sold out but pre-loved pairs can be found here).
Without sounding like my Miller style obsession has reached unnerving heights, I seem to recall her wearing this exact combination when she was photographed having lunch with Jennifer Lawrence in New York, so presumably this was the same day. Either way, it's a great outfit – low-key, stylish and practical to boot.
Of course, Christmas is just around the corner and so you may not feel like you're in a position to buy yourself a jumper for over £400. I have, therefore, scoured the internet for some high street versions of Miller's outfit and, without bragging, I have to say I've found near-identical pieces. From H&M to Kurt Geiger, find these great alternatives below. Oh, and the jeans? I found some at M&S, so I feel like Miller would approve.
