She may be just 19 years old, but Zendaya has already starred in her own TV show, nailed red carpet style and popped up in her pal Taylor Swift’s 'Bad Blood' music video. Now, the Disney actress can add campaign star to her already impressive CV, as she has just been announced as the new face of major US beauty brand CoverGirl.
Zendaya took to Instagram to break the news, posting a short video clip on her account with the caption ‘Meet your newest, easy, breezy, beautiful COVERGIRL!’ (followed by the sassy girl emoji, naturally).
The sneak peek shows the star wearing two very different beauty looks. The first is barely there, featuring glowing skin and nude lips, while the second is more striking, with Zendaya donning amazing braided buns and some seriously colourful eyeshadow.
Covergirl confirmed the news in a series of posts, sharing more flawless campaign shots of Zendaya posing in a red dress, with enviably sharp eyeliner flicks.
Zendaya said ‘I am so honoured to join the company of a roster as celebrated and diverse as CoverGirl’s. I can’t wait to share some of my own beauty tips with fans and work alongside CoverGirl to continue empowering girls and women to celebrate their individuality.’ Her first ad will debut on TV during the Grammy Awards on 15th February, which airs on CBS in the US.
