Not all outfits are made equally. Some are destined to live forever in our collective memory and, I would argue, many such outfits were born of Sex and the City. Case in point? SJP as Carrie Bradshaw wearing Dior's newspaper print dress, designed by John Galliano as part of the label's autumn/winter 2000 ready-to-wear collection.

The dress first appeared in SATC season 3, episode 17, when Carrie insists on apologising to Natasha for having an affair with her husband (Big). It then emerged from the archive for Sex and the City 2, a film we've all tried our hardest to forget. Sadly, we didn't see the Dior dress in the recent And Just Like That... although one couture dress worn by Carrie still managed to dominate discussions across the internet.

Now, Zara is paying homage to this famous print, creating its own version of a newspaper dress – a draped mini with long sleeves. At just £29.99, it's no wonder this dress is selling quickly; only a couple of sizes are still left.

Before you despair, Reformation has also imagined a newspaper-esque print, stamped on several different styles including this flared dress, still in stock in most sizes.

The last time she wore a 'bird' on her head, Carrie was marrying Mr Big (/hitting him with a bouquet of roses when he left her at the altar). If you've seen the first episode, you'll know that this meeting is something of a head-scratcher...The outfit however is 10/10. (The polka dot skirt is Carolina Herrera; the hand-painted bag is by artist Rebecca Moses.)
