Butterfly clips and mood rings have yet to be make a fashion comeback, but one retro accessory is set for a huge revival this summer ’17: tinted sunglasses. Just a quick google would find that our favourite twins (the Olsens, obvs) and Britney Spears would rarely be seen without a pair of colourful frames in the ‘00s – and you’ll be seeing them adorned on a fashion influencer near you soon.
Of course, Selena Gomez and the Hadid sisters, always ahead of the fashion curve it seems, have been rocking coloured lenses for months now (kudos to Bella, recently, for matching her rose-tinted sunglasses with an all-red jumpsuit during Paris Fashion Week).
But we spotted the micro trend making the rounds again in a big way this Fashion Week - with mellow yellow sunglasses coming out on top.
Thanks to Chloé, Gucci, Marni and co, the feel-good hue is getting its share of social media time. But if you're not quite ready to splash the cash on a full-on sunshine suit, zesty specs are the best way to go.
