We recently chanced upon Virginia (US) based e-store Need Supply via LA blogger Courtney Trop and fell into a digital rabbit hole. There's nothing like a store that brings you the type of things you instantly want to be wearing - but won't find anyone else turn up wearing too.
So what do we know about Need Supply? The store was born in 1996 as a purveyor of vintage Levi's, but from 2008 has been selling a curation a mix of well-known and emerging brands, with a focus on laid-back, fashion-forward styling. In other words it's got loads of genius stuff on it, from designers we've never heard of, like these:
The reconfigured denim shorts
Completely hooked on these tailored denim shorts. There are quite a few events for which bum-skimming denim isn't socially acceptable; so the combination of a longer length and a frayed hem is formidable.
Denim Shorts, £176.94 Vladimir Karaleev
The knit bikini
Beach Riot might just be our new favourite swimwear label. Thanks for the tip off, Need Supply. Just the right side of hippie beachwear, this is; a marl grey crochet-esque knit bikini in a super sexy cut. You'll be getting maximum tan coverage with this sexpot.
Capri Topand Monoco Bottoms, £123.58 Beach Riot
The Kenzo-esque wallet
Awesome eye print, with a satisfying price tag. This sunny little guy is always watching you - and your pennies. As they walk right on outta your purse...
Eyeball Print Cardholder, £16.57 Falconright
Some sick modern jewellery
There's a raft of clean lined affordable jewellery at Need Supply - and we're always on the look out for trinkets that don't cost £££.
District Necklace, £29.59 Digdogdig and Acute Ring, £16.57 own label
Woven booties
Like a wicker basket, but for your pieds. These Matt Bernson boots are like the best bits of Woodstock (note: Coachella *not *being used as cultural reference point), distilled into a boot. Just the right cuban heeled height, with grosgrain stretchy side panels like a Chelsea boot.
Marlow Boots, £117.17 Matt Bernson
The sexiest leather dress we've ever damn seen
How hot is this dress? Excuse my French - and the price tag - but the cut of this is divine. 90s spaghetti straps, a scoop neck, a low back and a fit and flare skirt, makes this dress a really, really good leather investment.
Congaree Dress, £295.89 Collina Strada
