This Woman Found An Actual Mouse In Her Zara Dress

A 24-year-old New Yorker filed a lawsuit against fast fashion giants Zara on Monday, claiming she had found an actual real life rodent sewn into the hem of her dress. Ew.

In what reads like some urban-myth-come-ridiculous horror story, Cailey Fiesel told the New York Post what happened when she realised that all was not what it seemed with her thrifty new purchase...

'I felt something brushing up against my leg and thought it was a string from the seam of the dress,' she said. 'I then felt the hem of the dress and it felt like there was some sort of sensor. I turned up the seam of the dress and saw it was not a sensor and that it was a mouse.' IT WAS A MOUSE. If you look closely enough at the pictures you can even see its little paw poking out of the hem...

'I froze - I was paralysed with fear,' she continued. 'I was in complete shock. My eyes saw that it was a mouse but my brain told myself it can’t be.' Told you - horror story.

While Cailey waits for her movie deal to arrive, her lawsuit will keep her busy. It says she suffered emotional distress and had a rash that was diagnosed to be from a 'rodent-born disease.'

Cailey purchased said dress for $40 from a Zara shop in Greenwich, Connecticut in July. Now, we're a little hazy on where the high street retailer's clothes actually get made, but it's not unlikely that the dress you bought there last weekend came from the same factory.

So - maybe go check the hemlines on that, you know. Just in case there's a f***** MOUSE in it.

A spokesperson from Zara USA said: 'Zara USA is aware of the allegation and we are investigating the matter further. The brand has stringent quality controls and health and safety standards worldwide that are followed and met in manufacturing, including stitching and pressing. We are committed to ensuring that all of our products meet these rigorous requirements.'
