Wintour Wardrobe: Decades Of Style For Fashion’s Favourite Editor

It is widely acknowledged that the fashion industry wouldn't be where it is today without its reigning monarch – unquestionably, US Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

Since 1970, when she was hired as the newly merged magazine '*Harpers & Queens'**' *first editorial assistant, fashion has been the focus of Wintour's career – and since 1988, when she took over editorship for Vogue, she has been the primary focus of the fashion industry.

It is well-known Wintour sees designers' collections before they hit the runway, and at times, they've even altered aspects of it that Wintour didn't like.

Over her decades-long career, Wintour has been editor of British Vogue, the inspiration for fashion movie The Devil Wears Prada, the star of successful *Vogue *documentary *The September Issue *and, since 2013, artistic director for Conde Nast – all with the same hairstyle: her signature bob.

So as fashion week approaches once again, we want to pay homage to this living legend of style – by looking back at her own ever-changing fashions throughout the years.
