Beatrice Borromeo Wears Three Wedding Dresses

How many wedding dresses does a bride need? Three, obviously... (well, if you're Italian aristocrat Beatrice Borromeo you do anyway).*

The stunning journalist and heiress (29) married her royal boyfriend of seven-years, Pierre Casiraghi (27), son of Princess Caroline of Monaco (and grandson of Princess Grace), in a religious ceremony on the private island of San Giovanni in Lake Maggiore, Italy, at the weekend.

For the occasion she sported not one but two Giorgio Armani gowns, which – in addition to the pale pink Valentino number she wore to her civil ceremony last week – brings her total tally of wedding dresses to no less than three!

For the ceremony on Saturday, she wore a bespoke Armani Privé ivory-coloured gown, with a flared Chantilly lace silhouette and layers of sumptious silk chiffon. With three-quarter-length sleeves and a modest neckline, she teamed the dress with a delicate silk tulle veil (with Chantilly lace bordering) that cascaded down freely from her immaculately styled bun.

For the reception later that day at Rocca d'Angera, Beatrice wore a second Armani Privé gown. In white silk tulle, the dress had micro draping and sported a sexy, deep neckline. She paired the gown with a pleated silk tulle train flowing elegantly off her shoulders, on which were pinned two family heirloom antique diamond brooches in the shape of wings. As if she didn't look angelic enough...
