**Rita Ora's Adidas collection is hitting stores on the 21st August (that's 14 days, not that we're counting or anything) and team Adidas have now released a teaser video. In the teaser Rita spins around in her collection while she says: “Goodbye barriers and obstacles. So long to everything holding me back. Believe in yourself and you can become anything.” Plus there are two extra images of her wearing badged-up crop tops, a beanie shorts and a bomber jacket. See Rita wearing her Adidas line below...

Soon there won't be anything left on Rita Ora's fashion bucket list. She has landed a campaign with Roberto Cavalli, has a line with Rimmel, is the face of DKNY and has somehow found the time to design her own collection for Adidas. “I don’t own a second of my life, so much so that my mom is scheduling in dinners,” she joked.
Back in October news broke of Rita's Adidas collaboration and earlier this month she debuted her print-tastic sportswear on, you guessed it, her Instagram account. This year Adidas has joined forces Pharrell Williams and Mary Katrantzou, but Rita revealed to WWD that she is the first female arist to collaborate with them. She said: “I’m a massive fan of the brand. I grew up working at a sneaker store when I was 16 and am a huge sneakerhead. It’s so cool that I’m able to do this with a brand that I sold when I was younger.”

Adidas approached Rita last September during New York Fahsion Week and she said: “I’ve been around Adidas for so long growing up and actually have one of my best friends working there. I used to hang out in the Adidas offices in L.A. for lunch when I’d visit her and in the past two years got to know everyone there.”
The designs are oh so Rita, as there are luxe trackies with sheer side panels, a leather jacket with glow-in-the-dark detailing and a transparent rain jacket. Oh and prints. Lots and lots of prints. She said to WWD: “There’s one look based on one of my dove tattoos. It’s the softer, more feminine side of me with its soft colors and cutouts on the sleeves with suede — you know, things that are nice to touch and feel.”
A washing mashine disaster was even a source of inspiration. She revealed: "I used to have these trousers with these see-through panels but they got ruined in the wash and I could never find another pair.”

Rita studied all of Adidas' shoes and archives from the past 50 years before designing her own collection. “I always come from the approach that they are designers and I am an artist,” she said. “The biggest advice was that [Adidas] said is to be yourself and be confident in what you’re doing and confident what you wear. When Jeremy [Scott] did Moschino and I was like, ‘Wow, aren’t you worried that McDonald’s will sue you?’ he was like, ‘You can’t worry about that stuff — the shocking things sometimes are the best things and what people want to wear.’ You have to be brave and do what you like. I think my fashion will represent that.”
There are five different capsules in the collection, with the first pieces hitting stores on August 21. Want to see more from her collection? We have a feeling she'll wear (and Instagram) every piece in the next few weeks.
