We were already completely hooked on the techni-colour faux fur brand, Shrimps - we interviewed Hannah Weiland ahead of LFW - and then her latest collection dropped and we became... even more obsessed? Whatever the max is, we're at it.

It helps that the video, starring supercool young British model Adwoa Aboah and Laura Bailey and directed by the much admired stylist Julia Sarr-Jamois, oozes ironic awesomeness. It's like Sofia Coppola meets Spike Jonze - wonky but sparkling. Wearing Autumn/Winter 2014 Shrimps, Adwoa and Laura sit in a trailer park looking suitably, kitschly bored. In fact, why are we telling you what happens? When you can watch it:
In terms of wearability, this collection achieves something that the previously stellar collection probably didn't. The navy faux fur Wilma with orange breton stripes - destined to be a sell-out - lends a much coveted traditional note to Shrimps (after all, you can't go wrong with a navy coat), whilst a boxy pale blue jacket with faux fur lapels is more cute than kitsch. Meanwhile, for someone less keen on a Peter Pan collar, there's a blush pink faux fur coat with red and black breton armbands (rather than the full striped hem) in the new collar-less 'Joseph' style, which would suit someone less willing to invest in a clashy number. It's still unmistakably Shrimps; but the message is a little subtler.

Calling to mind other emerging British designer whose focus is on bringing the fun into fashion, such as Happy Ashley, Sophia Webster and K2TOG, at the heart of Shrimps is a designer who wants you to be able to wear your coat absolutely everywhere. Shrimps coats aren't just for snazzy days; they're for everydays. There's a reason Adwoa's wearing some sporty slacks and a pair of Stan Smiths' with her faux fur. Plus, Hannah herself only has one Shrimps coat. So if that doesn't showing the 24/7 economy of a faux fur investment, we don't know what does.
