This week marked the release of a new more representative line of Victoria's Secret lingerie. The new Body By Victoria collection is available in sizes A-DDD and XS to XL. And as a troupe of the ten newest VS Angels celebrated the release of the new launch with an appearance in Times Square, they also revealed they "hope" a new plus-size model will be the next recruit to their lineup.
Talking to The Mail Online, Polish model Jac Jagaciak explained: “I think the whole world is more open to plus-size [models] and I am sure at some point they will be ready for it."
And when Elsa Hosk was asked if she thought a plus-size model would be joining VS soon, she added: “We don't know. I really hope so."
“Right now there are a lot of Angels represented. We are from all over the world. We come from different backgrounds. We all had different lives before this, so it is really interesting how a lot of different nationalities are represented and it is super cool,” she added.
So could a lingerie line representing women at every size prompt Victoria's Secret to reflect this on their catwalks, too? We hope so. Watch this space.
