Victoria Beckham’s Airport Uniform Includes A Forgotten Style Of Jeans

As it turns out, your first ever tweet can be prophetic. For Victoria Beckham's inaugural statement she pronounced that the ‘Airport is my runway!!!’. Still living by the idiom, she jetted into Miami for New Year’ Eve in a trendsetting ensemble that we’re certain will be copied endlessly in 2018.

After spending the festive break in the frigid English countryside, Beckham, along with her family, arrived in Florida’s sunny clime’s still layered up for winter’s chill. Beneath her navy topcoat was this Beckham’s favourite new denim style: vintage cuffed jeans.

This isn’t the first time that Victoria has picked turned-up denim for jet-setting. While she wore the style with a white tee and architectural maroon heels for her most recent trip abroad, she debuted a similar pair back in October during a stop-over in New York city. Previously, she arrived in the Big Apple wearing a black polo neck with a pair of leather boots tucked beneath the straight-leg cuffed jean. In the process, she proved that she holds her travel outfit to the same chic standard as her daily routine. No sweats, leggings or onesie's here.

Just shy of 5ft 4in it's possible that Victoria's recent penchant for cuffed trousers might be a response to practicality and the annoying reality of off-the-rack denim always being excessively long. Whether rolled or turned with an exaggerated cuff, this is certainly a simple way of avoiding re-hemming too long trousers. But, we prefer to think of this as the introduction of a new leg-lengthening silhouette.

Lately, the designer has used her wardrobe to reexamine basics. Introducing a white t-shirt here, boxfresh trainers there or closing her recent fashion week show in a pair of true blue jeans, this Beckham shows that the foundations of a wardrobe are just as important as the statement pieces.
