Plot Twist: Turns Out That New-Season Urban Outfitters Is V. Flattering

Winter be gone!

New Season Urban Outfitters Is So So Much More Flattering Than We Expected

I don’t mean to be dramatic, but this has surely been the coldest and longest winter of all time. I truly can’t remember when I last woke up and my room wasn’t an icebox of a room and I wasn’t surrounded by blankets, dressing gowns and sadness. That was a bit dramatic. But the point stands that I’m so over my Puffer jacket - and Spring (or, as I call it, ‘top-and-a-light-jacket season’) can’t come soon enough.

Due to the fact that about 90% of my spring/summer and festival wardrobe is made up of Urban Outfitters, I was excited to see what they had on offer this year. And I absolutely wasn’t disappointed

1. The Sensible Option

UO, Red Striped Button-Down Shirt, £39; Urban Outfitters, Ribbed Half-Zip Mock Neck Jumper, £39; BDG, Side Stripe Notched Denim Mini Skirt, £36; UO, Sara Woven Flat Slides, £32This outfit is a tiny bit Primary School teacher vibes, but I'm actually kind of feeling it. Layering the dress with the zip up top and denim gives it a slight edge, while also keeping ya nice and warm.

2. For When You Want To Get Your Legs Out, But It’s Still A Bit Cold

BDG, Boyfriend Black Denim Jacket, £56; Urban Outfitters, Ribbed Half-Zip Mock Neck Jumper, £39; UO, Picnic Polka Dot Smocked Halter Midaxi Dress, £52; UO, Sara Woven Flat Slides, £32This outfit is perfect for when you want to rock that carefree summer vibe, but you're actually a very cold person and the thought of getting your legs out terrifies you. Layering the tops provides a bit of insulation, while at the same time providing an extra dynamic to an otherwise fairly basic outfit – ideal.

3. The Comfiest Hoodie To Have Ever Been

UO, Ecru Teddy Pop Over Hoodie, £45; UO, Mixed Print Wrap Maxi Skirt, £49FINALLY. FLEECE IS IN FASHION. Do you know how long I've waited to be able to go outdoors in a massive fleece and not resemble a middle-aged dog walker? I'm not usually a maxi skirt person, but I found myself coming around to this one. I think this was largely due to the presence the uh-mazing boots you'll see on my feet. If you (like me TBH) are a bit of a novice when it comes to heels, I'd steer clear. However, if you're willing to hobble about for a while they're absolutely worth the pain.

4. Denim Jacket Weather Is The Best Weather

BDG, Boyfriend Black Denim Jacket, £56; UO, Silence + Noise Audrey Mini Dress, £42; UO, Sara Woven Flat Slides, £32If you, like me, spend October to April mourning the loss of your denim jacket, you'll be pleased to know it's almost warm enough to wear one again. And I'll definitely be adding this one to my (already quite vast) collection. Pairing it with the dress also got me very excited for the not-too-distant day in which I get to throw away my excessively laddered winter tights.

5. I Feel Like I Should Be Lounging On A Yacht In This TBH

UO, Emilia Button-Through Cami, £29; BDG, Ecru High-Waisted Corset Jeans, £60; UO, Pippa Suede Pointed Toe Mules, £45Just going to come out and say it – I am obsessed with these trousers. They are flattering, comfortable and the living definition of chic. Due to the fact that I don't generally spend my summers lounging about with Emily Ratajkowski on a yacht, I can't really see where this outfit would fit in with my day-to-day life. But it's still something I'd very much like to own.

6.PSA: Your Boobs Will Definitely Pop Out, But It Will Be Worth It

Out From Under, Ribbed V-Neck Bodysuit, £20; BDG, Mom Bleached Raw Hem Jeans, £55; UO, Pippa Suede Pointed Toe Mules, £45This look is not one for meeting your boyfriend's parents in. I can promise that it won't go down well for very obvious reasons. That said, this is still up there with my favourite looks I tried on. I'll definitely be sporting it this summer while channelling my inner Bella Hadid at Coachella (I'll be at some shitty London festival in the rain, but still)
