For a long time, the internet was convinced that Australian-Sudanese model Nyadak ‘Duckie’ Thot wasn’t real. No, seriously, Twitter users were sure she was a Barbie doll. After all, this model, who shot to fame on Australia’s Next Top Model, has flawless skin and a perfectly symmetrical face. Not only is she a living, breathing fashion model, but she took NYFW by storm; she walked in the Fenty, Christian Cowan and Jeremy Scott shows and made her debut as Rihanna’s Fenty beauty collection’s muse.

Still unsure about the bumbag’s revival? One look at New York’s catwalks and you’ll be convinced otherwise. Showing only one shoulder is the new cold shoulder. Get it right, and you’ll look like Bianca Jagger and Lauren Hutton on a night out. Get it wrong, and you’ll look like the wrong side of the eighties revival trend. Take your cues from Tome, Alexander Wang, Jonathan Simkai, Diane Von Furstenberg and Brock Collection.

Kanye was a no-show at fashion week. Though the rapper has been poorly, show goers were still gunning for one of his stadium-scale Adidas-sponsored spectacles.

Heeled flip flops, as seen at Rihanna’s Fenty show, are the natural evolution of the athleisure trend. Retire your flat thongs immediately!
