It's wedding season. Which means with a wedding next weekend - and nothing to wear - I realised it was high time I paid Reiss a visit for Changing Room Selfies. Because if there's one thing Reiss excel at, it's dresses for weddings. And true to form, they did not disappoint. They also lent me a pair of shoes to try on the dresses with (in all my extensive changing room experience, this is the first time I've ever been allowed to take shoes into the changing room) and the carpeted cubicles are so lovely, that it reminded me how fun shopping could actually be, before online shopping - and it's lack of changing rooms - took over and pulsing crowds became the norm.
Reiss made me remember that shopping can actually be tranquil. If you're looking for that experience, head to their flagship store on Market Place in London. You'll feel super chilled in no time - and you'll probably find the perfect dress for your mate's wedding, too. Boo yah.
Con man
I can freely admit that this is the first time I've done bodycon. I do like a cut-out though. And lilac is growing on me, as a colour. Although perhaps this is classed as mauve... Either way, if you like form-fitting dresses, then this is great. It's also called 'Lorraine' and I'm really hoping that it was named after my favourite TV host.
Because fuck it, Kate's great
I know, I know. People aren't sometimes the nicest about Kate Middleton's Reiss-heavy wardrobe. But sometimes it can feel really good to channel KMid. This blue dress is very Kate, sure, but it also fits so nicely and makes me feel more ladylike than I've ever felt in my life. I think my mother would cry with happiness if I bought this. And y'know what? Pretty damn tempted.
Playtime
I love this playsuit. I especially like it when you amp up the conservative connotations with an excellent leather laser-cut belt, which riffs on Balmain's obi belts. This was my winning wedding look - hopefully I will upstage the bride and find my future husband next weekend, too (kidding! On both counts!)

The suited and booted alternative
Because you don't just have to wear a dress to a wedding - duh! I'm actually desperate to find a pale blue suit for a wedding - the jacket plus trousers made it a little too formal, but with a silky dark blue top it was a slicker affair.

Snakeskin reduxed
Pretty much the girliest way you can wear snakeskin; scoop neck, fit and flare waist, it's got an edge over a plain colour palette.
