Who knew? Who knew Muji wasn’t all rubbers, weird air diffusers and perspex storage boxes. I’d always been vaguely aware of the clothes in Muji and their underwear, (the men’s boxers make great PJ bottoms in the summer FYI), but never did I think I’d find so many great staples in my go-to pencil case shop. Sure, you’re not going to find the on trend stuff you get from all the big high street chains, but if you’re still in need of some wintery cosiness but really don’t want to be walking around in a fluffy onesie head on down to your local Muji. Sadly they don’t stock clothes on their website yet though so I’ve narrowed it down to some of their best bits…

The Throw-On Work Dress

muji-grey-dress

Great, simple cut. I can imagine wearing this a lot more than is appropriate in this day and age. Looks great with ankle boots

Dress, £29.95, Boots my own (worn throughout)

Tunic Dress/ Long top/ Whatever you want it to be

Feel a little 'Prairie' in this but I reckon that’s OK. It’s very short, wouldn’t be raising my arms up above my head anytime soon, but at the same time it’s loose and breezy. Maybe best worn with tight black jeans.

Dress, £39.95

The classic combo

Blue jeans (did you know Muji sold jeans for Christ’s sake?!) and a very excellent striped number. You really can’t go wrong with either of these.

Jeans, £29.95, Top, £9.95

The Knit

It was very hard to leave the store without purchasing this guy, comes in navy and grey as well. Such a great staple for this time of year.

Jumper, £39.95, Jeans £29.95

The Shirt Dress

Couldn’t figure out how exactly to wear this one… It’s called a dress but it’s kinda see through and I felt like I’m in one of those dreams where I’m walking down Oxford Street and I suddenly realize I’m not wearing trousers… Again, maybe one to be worn with some jeans.

Dress, £39.95

The Man Shirt

Even the men’s collection makes me want to drop a wad of cash. Great work shirts that go with just about anything.

Shirt, £29.95, Jeans £29.95
