All The Clothes From Zara For The Perfect City Break

All your mates have been banging on about their Ibiza holiday since January, when they booked it. Sure, there’s a city there but let’s face it, people go to get blind drunk and spend the day recovering in only a bikini doing the whole ‘hair of the dog’ business to stay alive. You, however, are going on a city break: maybe with a man, maybe with a woman, maybe with your Bikram yoga class. We don’t know, but we do know what you should be packing from Zara.

Sightseeing

Nothing says explorer like khaki, these culotte versions are actually surprisingly flattering and think of the great ventilation your pins will be getting. Make it a little less Dora the Explorer and a little more elegant with an off the shoulder cotton top and some leather tennis shoes. Who says you need to wear heels with culottes? (Not us, because you don’t want to be walking around a hot city in heels all day).

Exploring the local shops

Whether it’s Barcelona and you’re heading to La Boqueria or Chelsea Market in Manhattan, a little denim skirt and lightweight top are the answer to all your questions. Floaty materials and short bottoms mean you won’t get super clammy (gross) and are also easy to layer with a light jacket if it isn’t as toasty as you had planned for.

Drinks and dancing

Just because this isn’t Ibiza doesn’t mean you can’t still let loose in the evening; both in terms of mood and sartorially, as with this dress. So much room for activities and throwing shapes (I tried to demonstrate this but the changing room was really small, you probably shouldn’t look like this when you dance).

Lunch

One of the best things about exploring a new city is discovering new food spots. One of the most important things about discovering new food spots is leaving room for a food baby, this playsuit leaves lots of room for indulging in good food without looking like actual maternity wear. Win, win.

Playsuit £25.99

In case there's a beach

Again if you’re heading to somewhere like Dubrovnik, or Barcelona, you might actually find you get the best of both worlds; city and beach. Silky breezy palazzo pants and an ethereal white blouse are the perfect way to take your self from town to ocean. Wear with sandals and hide your bikini underneath.

Top £25.99, Trousers £29.99

Fancy dinner

You’ve spent the day exploring and now whoever you’re with wants to drag you to a nice restaurant; this loose relaxed dress is an easy option with some espadrilles, the snake print stops it being predictable and also makes you look exotic. Nailed it.

Dress£49.99
