Here's the thing: I've never been to a London Fashion Week show. Bit weird that, isn't it?

I've been backstage, I've seen run-throughs but I've never watched the actual, real fashion show. Which means I have to caveat this whole article to say that I, a fashion week novice, think these are some of the best stand out pieces in Topshop for fashion week. And because they are stand out, some are a bit more on the pricey side. Repeat after me: cost per wear, cost per wear.

Obviously these aren't restricted to runway viewing attire either – you can wear these any where you darn well like.

1. The Trousers

Probably my favourite outfit out of the whole lot because I literally look like a giant present and that felt good.

T-shirt, £12; Trousers (Boutique), £90 (not online)

2. The Skirt

The best kind of leather skirt: embroidered with nineties lacing.

Skirt (Boutique), £110 (not online)

3. The Dress

Pair this super cute dress with chunky boots or brogues to offset it. Plus, navy makes a nice change from black.

Dress, £75

4. The Jacket

This season is all about the puffer my friends and this one legit makes you look like a marshmallow in all the right ways. Just a warning: the temperature needs to drop dramatically before this is wearable lest you risk heat stroke.

Jacket, £110

5. The Jeans

See ya later embroidered jeans, now we're all about the sequinned jeans – just keep everything else dead simple and let the jeans do the talking.

Jeans, £60

6. The Shirt

Wear this with denim to offset the dressy, flowy vibe or go all out with a pleated midi.

Shirt, £39 (not online)
