While fashion month kicks off in New York today, last night all eyes were on California as the fashion crowd decamped to the West Coast for the Tommy X Gigi Spring ’17 show.
As global ambassador for the sportswear brand, Gigi Hadid has once again worked on a capsule collection, this time for Spring.
The Venice Beach location was transformed into the Tommyland festival, and Gigi enlisted the help of a number of her model squad to join her for the show. Sister Bella was of course her number one choice.
Alongside the Hadid sisters, the likes of Joan Smalls, Hailey Baldwin, Sara Sampaio, Alanna Arrington and Devon Windsor also stormed the runway.
The FROW was just as star studded with the likes of Lady Gaga, Kaia Gerber, Kris Jenner, Rachel Zoe, and the third Hadid sibling, Amwar Hadid.
The fun didn’t stop when the catwalk show wrapped, with Fergie taking to the stage to keep the after-party going.
The see-now-buy-now collection pays homage to California, and provides a West Coast twist on the brand’s East Coast heritage.
Logo-heavy pieces, sporty swimwear and Tommy’s signature colours were mixed up with the inclusion of floaty boho dresses, seventies silhouettes and sparkly lurex separates.
