It may feel a bit early for a spring clean but what if you discovered that your pre-loved, quality clothes – those jeans you don't wear anymore, say, or the dress you're not so keen on – as well as any homeware and accessories could actually help fund life-saving work by Cancer Research UK for Children and Young People? Then, you'd probably be leaping in to your wardrobe to find as much to donate as possible.
This is exactly what the likes of Laura Whitmore, AJ Odudu and Jodie Kidd have done. To support TK Maxx's Give Up Clothes for Good campaign, now in its 16th year, they all star in a brand new photoshoot, where the outfits they're wearing will be given to the campaign.
So far, Give Up Clothes for Good, along with fundraising, has raised an incredible £34 million for Cancer Research UK’s work into cancers affecting children and young people. It has also helped the planet, seeing as over 8,000 tonnes of pre-loved items have been given a second life, which equates to a saving of over 180,000 tonnes of carbon emissions.
