Poor old ASOS. The enormous e-store suffered a second massive arson attack (the first was in 2005) on its warehouse in Barnsley, South Yorkshire over the weekend, which resulted in an entire 10-strong fleet of fire engines being required to put the fire out and 10 million boxes of goods being damaged.
This is, understandably, a huge blow to the ASOS group, which went offline for 24 hours. Tbh, we were surprised to see them back up and running as soon as this morning and taking next day deliveries, too. But it would seem that for some customers, this was not good enough. Clearly forgetting that ASOS is run by humans and not automons, some arseholes disatissfied customers tweeted ASOS:
Yeesh, guys! If any of you have tweeted ASOS in anger, may we suggest that you spend those minutes thinking about how great it is that no-one was fatally injured in the fire, instead of expressing your ire over having to wait 24 hours for your new shirt? A NEW SHIRT. Luckily, there was plenty of goodwill towards ASOS, too.
Can’t believe people are bitching about their @ASOS orders being destroyed by the fire!! #ridiculous #blamethearsonist
