In case you hadn't noticed, it's cold. Very cold. Over 21 million '#cold's on Instagram can't be wrong, right? Most of us are adapting to winter by adding a few layers, or heating up with a hot chocolate and the Magic Mike trailer on repeat. Celebrities have different ways of coping, though. Mostly by escaping to LA and posting pictures of their yoga sessions on Malibu. But SoCal girls aside there’s lots to learn from our favourite fashionistas braving the chill in NY-LON and beyond….

1. GET CRAFTY

Kim Kardashian ‘sewed on’ a vintage fur to her Celine coat this week (of course you did, Kim), while fashion editor and blogger Pandora Sykes is currently crocheting her own Miu Miu-inspired pinafore dress.

6. USE PETS TO STAY WARM

Fashion blogger Liberty London Girl and Mollie King don’t let accessorizing opportunities go to waste.

7. MAINTAIN A PRACTICAL BEAUTY REGIME

Fashion director and stylist Alex Fullerton isn’t taking any chances.

8. NEGOTIATE

Karlie Kloss won’t let snow get in the way of her suede spring flats.

9. FUEL YOURSELF

Hemsley + Hemsley advocate flasks of homemade soup (worn with natty headwear), Laura Whitmore gets her glow from Quinoa porridge and Honestly Healthy’s Natasha Corrett is all about the bircher and bee pollen.

10. STYLE IT OUT

If all else fails, you can use the freezing season as a way to show off your impeccable taste in interiors, just like Julia Restoin Roitfeld.
