I'm not afraid to say I'm wrong when it comes to rules of sartorial engagement. And never have I been more wrong than when I said I wouldn't be caught dead in a tank top. (The fleece gilet meanwhile - that still definitely stands.)
British knitwear label Blake LDN has got me over my fear with their sexy cotton Imperial Tank, £66. How does it defy the odds, you ask? Well, the tank - which comes in apple green and navy - is cut high on the neck which makes it super chic, but low at the armpits, so you get an *almost *flash of side boob. And everyone knows that a suggestion of side boob is much better than a full blown appearance. (PS: If you haven't heard of Blake LDN it's a newish knitwear brand started by 27-year-old Alice Ashby, who used at work at both Rag & Bone and The North Circular with model Lily Cole. Which is why she probably knows expert stuff about side-boobs. Or something).
