Earlier this month, we grabbed a cinnamon latte with the beautiful Suki Waterhouse and quizzed her on a host of topics from collaborating with Superga to her acting career. For the full interview, pick up this week's issue of *Grazia *(out now) but here on* Grazia Daily*, we've got a taster just for you...
SUKI ON HER NEW COLLABORATION WITH SUPERGA
‘I’ve been wearing Supergas forever. I’m always in flats running around so it makes sense for me. I love the suede blue flatforms – I’m seriously into flatforms. 'Ive always loved slightly ugly shoes. Or even very ugly shoes. When I first started buying shoes with my own money I would always get them from eBay. I used to hack my mum’s account and suddenly these white cowboy leather boots would arrive. I bought Doc Martens when I was 13 and I wore them pretty much, every day until I was 20. They stank and my dad wouldn’t even let them in the house, but I was completely in love with them.’
**SUKI ON 'DRESSING LIKE A BOY'
**
‘My dad was very into bringing me up with all the boy things – we’d go to football games and do rock climbing so it was really very masculine. I had a lot of moments style wise as a teenager. Mum tried to get rid of some things - I used to wear these plastic trousers and it was all very ‘dudeish’. Literally I dressed like a boy. Unless I really make an effort I quite enjoy looking a bit off and something looking a bit wrong. That’s how I feel most comfortable. If anything it’s just because I’m like very scatty and not very good at putting stuff together. Also because I’m so bad at packing – I mean nothing ever goes together, I never have any socks - when I’m abroad my look is just always such a mess.’

**SUKI ON RED CARPET NIGHTMARES
**
'It' all about finding that balance between your instinct and listening to other people that you trust - basically when I have less to do with what’s going on it seems to go a lot better! Sometimes things go well, but sometimes…it’s a complete nightmare. I went to this state dinner at the White House to meet Mr Obama and my hair and make up was organised for me in Washington.
'So this guy comes over and says he hasn’t worked since the '80s. He starts on about how ‘old school’ he is and how he’s going to make me look like Hepburn. I can’t even describe what happened next. There was blue eye shadow up to my brows, my fringe was backcombed… Seriously I walked out to show my boyfriend and we were on the floor dying. I had to wet my hair and grease it back so I looked like crap to meet the President!

‘Sometimes you’re just exhausted from flying or you’ve had a really big night and you just cant get your look together. Sometime your face looks alive and awake and you’re on track and then sometimes, for me, if I’m tired or hangover, literally something happens that is seriously not good!’
SUKI ON HER FAIRYTALE MOMENT AT THE MET BALL
‘The best thing about the Met – because you’re with a designer – is that everything is taken care of. With your dress you don’t get much say in what it’s going to be like, so when I finally saw it, it was a total fairytale moment. The other moment that's so great is when you walk out of the hotel room and you can see everyone else too. To see all of my friends there – like when we were in the toilets smoking, all wearing these dresses, all falling over the trains – it was just so, so much fun. I spent the whole night stepping on people’s dresses and the people I was next to for dinner literally had ruffles in their face – Benedict Cumberbacth completely had a pink frill up his nose!’

SUKI ON HER ACTING CAREER
‘When I was younger, acting, singing and dancing was what it was all about. That’s really what kept me in school because I was really naughty otherwise. I wasn’t really sure about doing acting again, it’s still such a vulnerable thing. Because it’s not like going to a casting for modelling, where they’re like you’re not right for this – I literally don’t care about that. With acting you’re so much more invested – with every audition there’s so much preparation.’

**SUKI ON SETTLING DOWN IN LONDON
**
The next step Suki explains is to settle down somewhere in London. ‘I don’t really live anywhere. I literally don’t. We’re travelling gypsies – it’s wherever we're working. I’ve gotten so into the thing of moving, moving, moving but I’m desperate to have a home. I just want my own little spot – I’m saving, but it’s difficult because of the shopping… I’m actually addicted to online shopping – it’s something about the packages arriving!’
