Model turned actress Suki Waterhouse has been named the face of New Look’s AW '16 campaign and is totally guilty of inspiring our winter wardrobes.
Donning everything from monogrammed bombers to Victoriana blouses, the 24-year-old is fronting the campaign ahead of her debut accessory line, Pop and Suki, set to drop in September. So ahead of the highly-anticipated release, we couldn’t wait to find out what she’ll be sartorially investing in this season.
During an interview with the high street store, Suki revealed the key trends she’ll be donning - listing velvet and leopard print as her go-tos. Ah, she’s a girl after our own heart.
And the model went on to reveal that she has a penchant for ‘ugly’ fashion often mismatching shoes and accessories purposefully. Suki told New Look, ‘I've always liked the play on girly and sweet where you can also add in a sense of randomness. It was dorky in the ‘60s, and sexy but not overtly so. People are too 'put together' these days, there's not enough 'weird' going on’. We couldn’t agree more.
And with a love of sartorial strangeness, we can’t wait to see what the model has in store for her impending accessory line in collaboration with bestie Poppy Jamie. Suki exclusively revealed to Grazia that we should expect ‘luxury fanny packs’ inspired by the pair’s disorganisation when it comes to accessorizing. And if their Wes Anderson-inspired Instagram is anything to go by, sign us up asap.
Having walked for infamous fashion houses such as Tommy Hilfiger and Burberry, followed by her recent foray into the acting sphere appearing in Pride and Prejudice And Zombies, Suki is undoubtedly the girl of the moment.
But no need to worry, as she’s just like the rest of us, revealing her style rules to be ‘always make a mess getting ready’ and ‘always big up the hair’.
That’s our girl.
