Thanks to the Fleetwood Mac tour at the end of last year - and the joyful reality of Stevie Nicks on Loose Women - she's having a bit of a moment, is Stevie. It may be almost three decades since 'Little Lies' tore up the wireless, but show me someone who hasn't been influenced by Stevie's style and I'll show you someone who's never heard of Fleetwood Mac. Deal?

Go on then, why Stevie?

Steve-1

The thing about Stevie is that she's timeless and incredibly influential, without you even realising. Kate Moss and Sienna Miller's super-covetable style is 100% inspired by Stevie's ethereal rockiness and enduringly cool aesthetic. It doesn't matter that your Instagram feed may be filled with skater shoes and baggy track pants, Stevie will forever make us want to look like a flared-sleeve, lace-laden rock goddess.

Who else is into it?

Everyone from Isabel Marant to Saint Laurent references Stevie's signature fringing, whilst Meadham Kirchoff's AW14 show, with its black frilly gothic gossamer-style maxi dresses, was very 'Stevie'. Ditto those platform boots: from Topshop to Stella McCartney the tractor-tread platform boot is having a moment. Model and The Big Pink singer Mary Charteris also has quite a lot of the 'Stevie' about her.

But how would I do it in real life?

This spring (it's March, get with the program!) we are all about the sheer bohemian and round retro specs. Think black and white chiffon blouses with blouson sleeves and plunging Vs, with fringed handbags and printed kimonos. (Bit much for work, sure, but great for eveningwear and will work over denim shorts in the summer, too.) Stevie's a big fan of her gold moon necklace, so layer up moons and star necklaces and even some karma beads if you dare. A long white or black dress with a cinched in waist can also be made current with a pair of super-slim super-pointy stiletto boots, a la Saint Laurent.

So, should I do it?

Put aside sportswear and minimalism; the Stevie style of dressing is old school maximum and feminine sexy. Think floaty, lace and 'at one' with nature. She doesn't give a hoot what anyone thinks - and neither do you. Right?
