The Spring Summer 2016 London Fashion Week schedule has landed and there's an exciting new addition: Versus. Versace's sister label showed a pre-collection in the Capital back in May, and seeing as it went down a hoot, the brand's new Creative Director Anthony Vaccerello will debut his first collection during the SS16 schedule.
Another major change afoot is the fact that the British Fashion Council show space - usually located at Somerset House - has a new home on Brewer Street Car Park in the heart of Soho. This means it's closer to major retail spaces and a breeze to get to - a plus for fashion fans dashing in heels. Sixteen of the 77 shows will take place at the new space.
As for the new names to know, start following Ashley Williams and Ryan Lo - who will host catwalk shows as part of the BFC’s NEWGEN initiative sponsored by Topshop. Claire Barrow, Danielle Romeril, Faustine Steinmetz and Molly Goddard should also be on your radar - they're set to host presentations, while Marta Jakubowski and Sadie Williams will create installations.
Also new to the schedule is Hill & Friends, the label from former Mulberry Creative Director Emma Hill, and John Smedley - with its first womenswear collection. While Peter Jensen and Zhandra Rhodes return to the London schedule after a hiatus.
Roll on September.
