Is it, isn’t it? The rumour that beauty mecca Sephora might be drifting over the pond to solve all our beauty woes and simultaneously drain our bank accounts has been all over our Twitter feeds (and brains) this week.
And yesterday it seemed like we finally had some semi-official clarification, in the form of beauty blogger Caroline Hirons tweeting ‘Sephora confirmed opeining in the U.K. It’s happening people.’
Now we don’t want to get too excited (that’s a lie, yes we do) because there’s no official word from Sephora (yet) but we think it’s safe to say that you can start getting excited round about....now.
According to other recent rumours Sephora could be appearing in Westfield, which makes total sense as a retail destination for the American beauty brand. The Huffington Postdid their own bit of digging and spoke to the kind people of Westfield, who refused to either confirm or deny the rumours.
Of course - as any beauty afficionado with a penchant for lovely cosmetics will know - you can already buy products from Sephora. Their online destination Sephora.com was launched in the US in 1990 and its one of the biggest bestest beauty destinations on the internet.
And you can also already get stuff shipped over here - but it ain’t that cheap. If you spend over £75 (no, us neither) it incurs a flat rate of £6 but for anything less you have to pay the actual shipping cost, which will vary depending on how much your make up haul costs.
As long as you don’t do a make up haul as big as Kylie Jenner’s $1183.38 number earlier this year, you should be ok.
