From her shoe collection with Net-A-Porter to her jewellery designs, it seems that barely a week goes by without news of a fresh Sarah Jessica Parker fashion endeavour. So, it comes as little surprise to learn that the actress is set to open her first ever shop, which will house her SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker fashion lines.
The boutique will stock the actress’s own-brand shoes, handbags, accessories and jewellery, as well as her recently announced line of little black dresses. WWD reports that prices will range from around $30 to $700 – meaning there’s something for Carrie Bradshaw fans on every budget.
If you’ve spent years conflating Sarah Jessica with her most famous on-screen alter ego, Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw, you’d be forgiven for assuming that her latest venture has found a home in New York – but you’d be wrong. Her first boutique will in fact be located just outside Washington DC inside the new MGM National Harbour resort, which is set to open on 8th December.
In a statement, the actress said ‘Opening a standalone store has long been a dream we have been working towards […] It’s been very exciting to have been involved in all steps of the process, from on-site construction visits to the actual layout and design of our boutique. I’m honoured to be included in this massive undertaking and I’m very much looking forward to celebrating in December. Because perhaps then I will believe it’s real.’
