June has arrived and with it, comes a spell of brilliant weather. Ha! Probably not. This is the UK, after all. But hell, you can still dress like it's summer. And the ultimate summer 'frock' is surely a little white dress. One of our favourites and a worthy white investment, is this Mesh Cocktail Dress, £420, from the young and slick British designer Charlie May.

Sure, it's over £400 but it's beautifully cut - plunging low at the bodice, with an asymmetric wrap over skirt and racer back - and as we will duly show, goes with everything from retro football jerseys to pinstripes to a bondage bra. Wear it solo with some strappy heels, or wear it with some streetwear to make it day appropriate.

In fact, here's 4 different ways to wear it, thanks to mega babe model Bella Yentob. Looking pretty justifiable, yet?

Athletico

Retro baseball and football jerseys are making a comeback - just in time for the World Cup. Pair the dress with some waffle socks and your favourite battered black sneaks (white will make it too matchy matchy) and you've got a get-up Veronika Heilbrunnerwould totally approve of.

Street stripes

Pinstripes should be worn everywhere but the office right now. There's nothing better than a navy pinstripe jacket over boyfriend jeans, or grey pinstripe trousers with trainers. Counteract the minimalist/street aesthetic with some ornate jewellery like a hand bracelet.

Choker Necklace, £110 Theodora Warre, Large Wired Handpiece, £106.65 Cornelia Webb, Grey Stripe Trousers, £39 Olive Clothing, Unisex Jazz Original Trainers, £55 Saucony at Schuh from mid-June

White out

All-white's the look right now, but play with your textures and shades. The thick waffle of Charlie May's mini dress contrasts nicely with with the XL length of a sheer mesh dress, layered underneath. Cream mules throw the pristine white a little off, whilst a vintage choker (always a winner) stops it from being too polished and riffs on the grungey fishnet.

Carnival

By day, with biker boots but by night, clash some leopard print and palm tree print, for the ultimate Notting Hill Carnival party outfit (it's worth travelling to London for.) The deep 'V' of the dress allows a good peek of bondage bra underneath, which is a) pretty sexy and b) means you don't have to worry about tit tape when you're 10 Red Stripes down. Always a result.
