Rihanna Collaborates With Manolo Blahnik: See The New Collection

Rihanna is no stranger to the world of high fashion, but we think her latest collaboration could well be her best yet.

The Anti singer has teamed up with legendary shoe designer Manolo Blahnik to create a collection of six limited edition styles. Titled ‘Denim Desserts,’ the range features sequinned stilettos, embellished heeled cowgirl boots and, most strikingly, a pair of denim thigh-highs decked out in sparkles. The styles also feature artisan embroidery inspired by Rihanna’s intricate hand tattoos.

Due to the level of artistry involved in creating each piece, the styles in the collection will have an extremely limited run, and will only be able to buy from Manolo Blahnik’s boutiques in London, New York and Hong Kong.

Prices for the collection start at £541.67 and reach up to £2,458.33 but according to RiRi, it’s an investment that could pay off in an unexpected way. Speaking about her collaboration, the singer said: ‘The day I see a woman in the street wearing my shoes… I am sorry for that woman because I’m going to literally run after her, shouting, ‘Stop! Selfie! Who are you? Where did you get them? I’m going to have a moment!’ Talk about turning the tables.

Discussing the ‘9 to 5’ thigh high boots (sorry, RiRi, but there’s no way that we could get away with wearing those for our 9 to 5), she added: ‘Those boots are dangerous! If you’re trying to get back home to your bed, don’t wear them boots! [sic] You will get kidnapped in those boots, those boots are trouble.’ Hmm.

Fancy being chased down the street by RiRi and prepared to run the risk of kidnapping? The collection launches in Manolo Blahnik boutiques on May 5th 2016.
