BFFs and co-stars Rihanna and Cara Delevingne pulled out all the stops last night at the world premiere of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets in Los Angeles.
While Delevingne took the theme of the French sci-fi film quite literally in a space age inspired gown, Rihanna looked every bit the princess in a powder pink creation.
Delevingne wore a see-through Iris van Herpen gown from the designer's lastest couture collection. Created from wire, the elegant sculptural style came in high at the neck and cleverly covered all the right areas.
Delevingne, who plays a space-and-time-traveling agent and the love interest of Valerian, let the her dress do the talking by sweeping her growing locks back in a retro wave, and pairing the gown with strappy heels.
Rihanna, who has a small part in the film, wore a glamourous off-the-shoulder gown by Giambattista Valli Couture complete with puffy sleeps, ruffled neckline and long train.

The singer and aspiring actress styled the dress with knee-length lace-up sandals by Manolo Blahnik. This isn't the first time Rihanna has turned to Giambattista Valli for a red carpet moment - the Italian designer created the giant pink dress she wore to the 2015 Grammys.
