Our usual style inspo on Instagram comes from the cohort of fashion girls and bloggers, but this week we've branched out into the art world, thanks to the awesome Hikari Yokoyama, who founded online art auction house Paddle 8. She's dating Sam Taylor-Johnson's ex Jay Jopling (AKA the guy who owns the White Cube Gallery), and she lives in a way more arty version of London than us. She's basically the person we want to be when we finally become proper grown-ups who hang up our clothes, know how to use an iron and go on loads and loads of holidays (obvs).
Here are some reasons to click follow, right now, on Hikari.
She Looks Incred On A Horse
It isn't often that you actually see someone looking stylish IRL in Wellington boots. On an IRL horse. We're loving the braided chignon, too.
She Doesn't Take Her Art Too Seriously
Despite being a mega art keen bean, and knowing her Monet from her Manet, we like that Hikari can still sit down like the rest of us and enjoy a good street cartoonist. Plus we love how nonchalantly she can pair leopard with denim and still look put together.
She Wears Kiini Bikinis
Kiini bikinis are one of the hippest bikini choices right now - they're crocheted, colourful and comfy. Hikari has done that cool girl thing where you just chuck on a white shirt/kaftan thing over your beach look, and you're good to go. We're pretty impressed that her sunglasses match her bikini too. Again, GROWN-UP.
She Makes A Breton Top Look Like A Thing
Most of us own a Breton top, and this pic reminds us how if they're a) clean and b) ironed and c) paired with simple denim, they can look pretty damn chic. Get yours out now.
She's Got Great Taste In Kaftans
Check out the mental floral print on that kaftan. It's the kind of thing that might scare you in the shop, but when you see it on someone like Hikari, makes you excited for the summer. Plus it makes us all hanker our own personal yacht to wear it on.
