Quvenzhané Wallis might only be 10 years old, but she’s the new face of the Armani Junior campaign. Posing with a tiny cute puppy and wearing a cool tux for the shoot, it looks totally adorable.
Just FYI, you really need to know who Quvenzhané is. The star of Beasts of the Southern Wild, she was only six at the time of filming, became the youngest person to be nominated for an Oscar aged nine. And it wasn’t just any Oscar she was nominated for, but the Best Actress award, which went to Jennifer Lawrence eventually. Who isn’t a bad person to lose out to, to be honest. Oh, and Quvenzhané was the first black child to get a nod in the awards. She’s also the title character of the new Annie film, which also stars Cameron Diaz.
Of her casting in the campaign, The Telegraph reports she said ‘I feel the same excitement when I got cast for a major film. Me? Wow.’
And she’s pretty aware she’s going to have some green-eyed friends out there. Luckily, unlike her acting success, the freebie clothes she gets from Armani can be shared pretty easily: ‘my friends are going to want to borrow all my clothes now, for sure’ We’ve not got much more to say about this apart from she looks bloody great, and that the tux trend is still going beautifully strong.
By the way, it's Que-VENN-ze-NAY Wallis, as she explains here
