Move over Diana, there's another royal wardrobe we want to raid, the one belonging to Princess Caroline of Monaco.
In the '80s and '90s the eldest child of the Prince of Monaco and Grace Kelly was the toast of society. Counting the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Claudia Schiffer and Jerry Hall as close friends, Caroline was always on the front row at fashion week and at the best parties in Monaco and beyond.
Unsurpisingly, she had a killer wardrobe to match. Whether it was an all-white suit, fuschia tutu, or a simple levis and loafers combo, she always looked impeccable.
With our obsession with all things '80s and '90s going nowhere fast we decided it was high time to revist the princess' best looks. These are our favourites...
The power-suit
Nothing sums up the '80s more than a colour blocking two-piece suit. Whether it's a chic white trouser suit complete with oversized pearls or a skirt suit styles with matching tartan blazer and hat, the princess always completed her ensemble with a chain strap Chanel bag.
The red carpet gown
This was not the era for subtly, something Caroline fully embraced when dressing for big events. Think jewel hued tones, tutu skirts, bold silhouettes and oversized jewellery - ideally all at once.
The tailored mac
A smart, structured coat was a key part of the power dressing aesthetic. Oversized yet nipped in at the waist, it's a flattering style that will go with just about eveything. This is definitely on out wish list for autumn.
The off-duty staples
When she wasn't attending events, Caroline kept it casual in straight leg jeans, jumpsuits and leather loafers. We'll be chanelling these two looks immediately.
The '80s swimsuit
The princess was a big fan of the Baywatch style swimsuit (high leg, low back), and liked to complete to look with sunnies, and sometimes a bandana.
