As a fashion editor, I spent a lot of my time browsing online shops, and I can tell you Pixie Market is one you should know about! If you like Zara, Topshop and & Other Stories but aren’t keen on spotting the jacket you just bought on the person opposite you on the bus then it’s worth checking out. The label started as a bricks-and-mortar store in NY before waking up to the digital revolution and swapping physical tills for ‘buy now’ buttons, which is wonderful us Brits who don’t live across the pond. It’s the shop I turn to when I want an architectural shirt dress that’s not too complicated to wear every day or a pair of jeans that are trendy but not made of 99% lycra and ripped to shreds. The label’s quality is far superior to a lot of online-only stores, and their vision isn’t derivative. Pixie Market offers a fresh perspective on accessibly-priced fashion. Right now the brand is doing a mean line in minimalist items and tailoring that’s cool and kooky enough to make you want to put the whole shop in your basket. But, luckily as most pieces come in at under £100 they will add zest to your wardrobe without bankrupting you in the process. I've got my eye on the Polka Dot Valentina Bustier Shirt and Navy Button Pleated Mini Skirt, but other than that I sincerely doubt you'll see anyone this side of the Atlantic wearing Pixie Market. Get it now, before it goes mainstream!
