This weekend saw fashion influencer, creative director and Scandi Instagram star Pernille Teisbaek tie the knot with her long-term boyfriend Philip Lotko, providing us with plenty of new material for our hypothetical wedding Pinterest board in the process.

Pernille’s 480,000-and-up online following will be more used to seeing the stylist (who formerly went by the handle @lookdepernille) in looks that epitomise laid-back Scandinavian style: over-sized roll-necks, jeans and shirt combos and breezy patterned midi dresses. For her trip down the aisle of St Ib’s Church in Bornholm, Denmark, however, the bride opted for a design from one of the biggest names in bridal style: Vera Wang.

Proving that the nearly-naked trend can be wedding-appropriate, the dress in question balanced layers of semi-sheer lace and intricate embellishment with a more demure high neckline and long sleeves.

While the bride might have sided with an internationally renowned design hero for the dress itself, the details brought a touch of Denmark to her wedding style. Cinching the gown at the waist was a pearl-encrusted belt from Weddings By Gudnitz, the bridal jewellery brand from Danish couturier Rikke Gudnitz (who also tailored the dress and created Pernille’s barely-there veil for the occasion) – we think this might be the first time you’ve felt actively compelled to wear a waist belt since your mid-Noughties wardrobe reached peak Gok Wan. A pair of buckle-embellished Manolo Blahniks, a low-key bouquet by local florists De Fire Arstider and - intriguingly – a Swift-esque serpentine ring finished off the wedding ensemble.
