An Outfit For Every Possible Summer Day, From Urban Outfitters

Look, there’s a lot going on in the summer, there are festivals to go to, picnics to be had, afternoons in the park with a bottle of rose and a hangover... the list is endless, and that vaguely manky sundress you bought at uni and a pair of beaten-up flip flops aren’t going to cut it. So we raided Urban Outfitters for the best summer-friendly outfits, whatever your diary holds.

The all-day city festival

This is my dream chic say festival look, simple and edgy. I love the old school Fila vibe, the bold print down the side means I would keep accessories simple – a black bum bag would do it...

The garden BBQ

For my garden BBQ I like this denim dungaree dress with white bell sleeves top. Comfy and easy (although not at all ketchup friendly). Dungaree dresses are a dream in the summer and can be paired with pretty much any top, so maybe go for something with smaller sleeves if you’re a notorious spiller.

The day at the seaside

This white crop top and denim skirt are the perfect combination of staying cool and ‘making an effort’ for a hot day by the beach. A pair of bright sunglasses would add a perfect pop of colour.

The summer day date

Double denim: not just for middle-aged driving instructors. I loved this blue denim crop top with the knot tie at the front, I’ve paired it with this amazing white denim skirt too! I’ve added my chunky black DMs into the mix, to reflect a bit more of my personal style – always important on a date.

The summer night out

OK, who doesn’t love a suede skirt right now? The bright red colour keeps this outfit fairly dressy, even with the casual Calvin Klein T-Shirt.

The hometown visit

This ’70s print T-shirt is the perfect way to keep an outfit playful and casual. Also this burgundy skirt is amazing – who knew red skirts were such a good summer style staple?
