You thought you'd seen it all with double leopard, right? Wrong. The AW 14 catwalks were about matchy matchy everything. But why wait until Autumn? Here at The DB we're into interpreting next season's trends now. Because let's be honest, in six months time you could have emigrated to Tanzania. Ergo, life's too short.

The New Double Leather: Double Croc, Undone

Tom Ford, you wild and sexy beast of a man. Fordy knows how to make women look like panthers. And now he wants us to look like the slickest, blood-coloured crocodile out there, complete with decolletage corsetry. Forget black double leather, it's all about the burgundy. Sadly we didn't find any mock croc for you (just give us time) but try this oxblood Leather Panel Pencil Skirt, £95 Topshop with a Cracked Leather Tunic, £85 ASOS.

The New Suit: Very Girl Stamps on Boy

The re-entree of the suit (mainly via the medium of Cara D) has thus far been predominant in muted shade: think black, grey, blue and white. But this blush pink Thakoon get-up is about to change all that. For now, try this nudee Modern Tailoring Suit Blazer, £65 and Cigarette Trousers, £35 from Topshop.

The New Tracksuit: The Divorced Onesie Has Gone Haute

The most surprising thing about the Chanel show wasn't that it was held in a bespoke supermarche; but that it played major homage to the tracksuit. But maybe we shouldn't be surprised. Karl is obsessed with trainers and in streetwear terms, the tracksuit is the next logical step.

Tracksuits were glittery, lurex, cropped, disco-heavy two-pieces, whilst at Marques'Almeida the tracksuit was ribbed, de-constructed - with plenty of fraying - and the colour of a baby chick. Potentitally a little too crazy for the high street to ever pick up on, try eBay for some wild printed tracksuits.

The New Co-Ord: It's All Gone Super Snuggly

The printed jersey crop top and tube skirt is present in abundance on the high street right now, but for AW14 the skirt and sweater co-ord has gone maximum schnugglepuff. This Peter Pilotto co-ord is so determinedly in the pursuit of comfort, that it's trimmed in Quality Street purple fur. How envious are you off this model's chin right now? This Leopard Jumper and Skirt, £62 ASOS may lack PP's purple ruff, sadly, but it's got the red-printed comf on lockdown.

The New Tonal Blocking: Welcome To The Tango Tavern

Double orange featured at Preen by Thornton Bregazzi and Joan Smalls rocked a brown 3-piece at Fendi speckled with dots of brilliant orange. Which was not, we hasten to add, anywhere near as revolting as it sounds. To get some similar orange into your tonal wardrobe, try this Quilted Stitch Turtleneck and Mini Skirt, £62 ASOS.

The New Camo: We're Talking Full-Blown Army Fatigues

Balmain's Olivier Rousteing never does things by half. Forget a sliver of camo here or there, we're talking loose khaki uniform. Thing is, army fatigues do look kind of sexy on the Balmain catwalk. To do this at home we're going to suggest you leave the fatigues at home (although Army Surplus stores are a safe bet if you still want to try) and cinch this Infantry Jacket, £159.93 Current/Elliot at Revolve with a statement belt like this banging Olivia textured-belt, £210 Moschino at Net-a-Porter. Pair with some skinny slacks rather than full blown combats, like these Khaki Sateen Skinny Jeans, £80 J Brand at Avenue 32.
