The high street retailer New Look is inviting customers to “shop kinder” by launching a vegan product line with over 500 handbags, shoes and accessories. What’s more, the vegan range has been registered with The Vegan Society, making New Look the first high street shop ever to achieve this.
The range is already available to buy. There’s something for everyone with chic lace-up boots, faux-suede ballerina pumps, leather-look backpacks and animal-free canvas shoes just to name a few – and even a few pieces by Rochelle Hume.
This marks the brand's huge shift towards animal-free products, which started in 2014, when New Look was awarded a fashion award by PETA for its faux suede shoe-boots. Other high street retailers have been expanding their ranges of animal-free clothing and accessories. Earlier this year, Marks and Spencer released a range of vegan shoes.
With customers often having noted in the past that vegan footwear, clothing and accessories were hard to come by at affordable prices, this must come as great news.
