The new Harvey Nichols has landed – in Birmingham! And we cannot wait to elbow our way through the doors.
Designed in association with Virgile + Partners (the retail design specialists), the upgraded Midlands store is set to be the 'model' for all future Harvey Nichols.
'The brief was to create a store that would respond to today’s customer expectations,' says Group Marketing and Creative Director Shadi Halliwell. '[It was also to] provide a stage to display the best-edit of product in an environment that was innovative, evolutionary and offered our customers an unrivalled luxury experience,' she says.
Cleverly, the new store features women's and men's fashion all on one floor. This means it's sayonara to those hours of lurking around that your poor, long-suffering other half had to do in years past. Now, you can shop together!
Beauty and hospitality can be found on the ground floor – there's a nail studio fit for a queen. And the store also boasts a new restaurant, created in association with Michelin-star chef (and BBC One's *Saturday Kitchen *regular) Glynn Purnell.
'I’m really excited to be working with Harvey Nichols and the fantastic hospitality team to create a bespoke and informal dining experience to add to the diverse food and drink scene in Birmingham,' the chef said, earlier this year.
Word on the street is there is a Chef's Table experience up for grabs – and a circular bar serving up scrumptious cocktails as well.
All you'd want to eat, drink and wear *in one place? *It's time we all moved in.
So start forming an orderly queue – behind us please, of course.
