We wish we had Cressida Bonas’ dance floor moves. The British beauty has just teamed up with Mulberry to create a dance film for the brand's latest project, ‘From England With Love’.
As well as showing off her dancing skills, in the film, Cressida also shows us Mulberry’s brand new Buttercup Dress, fresh from the Spring Summer 2015 capsule collection.
As if all of that wasn’t dreamy enough, the film also boasts a cameo from actor Freddie Fox, who plays the part of ‘The Mulberry Man’.
Speaking about her Mulberry experience, Cressida said, “"It was great to be approached for the project and develop ideas with Mulberry. I loved the story and the attitude they wanted to convey. Our team wanted the girl in the film to have energy and fun, with the curiosity to explore which draws her up the stairs and into the mirrored room. And once she's there and feels that no one's watching – then she just wants to dance for the joy of it. The setting makes her feel free, and using dance to convey this feeling works so well for the story, and it adds signature Mulberry charm and wit."
Anne-Marie Verdin, Mulberry Brand Director added, "Dance is about joy and freedom, and we were very interested in telling a story that would look great on film, but that would also create a moment of pleasure for the people watching. Watching dance, as well as dancing, makes you feel good. As someone who lives and breathes dance, Cressida was the perfect choice to become the Mulberry Girl and really capture the carefree spirit of our Spring Summer 2015 collection."
The video is the first in an upcoming series of digital stories from creative talents in fashion, film and theatre, art and design and technology. We’ll be practicing our Cressida inspired twirls and hair flicks until we can watch the next one!
