Paris Fashion Week, in particular, Couture, never fails to gift us surprising celebrity cameos (hello, remember Celine Dion and Kanye’s legendary appearances). Though often confined to the front row, this time around the star-studded cast took to Miu Miu’s resort show catwalk.
Last March, Miu Miu’s Miuccia Prada tapped Elle Fanning to open and close their show. Doing one better, the Italian label asked it’s celebrity guests to walk the runway, rather than sit beside it. Opening with Rowan Blanchard and closing with Uma Thurman, it saw Chloe Sevigny, Sadie Sink, Kate Bosworth, Gwendoline Christie and Alexa Chung model the brand’s newest collection alongside professionals Naomi Campbell, Taylor Hill and Adwoa Aboah.

Obviously, this isn’t the first time that celebrities have moonlighted as models - Madonna’s walked for Jean Paul Gaultier, Julianne Moore strutted for Tom Ford and Zoë Kravitz has sauntered down Balenziaga’s catwalk - but Sunday night’s casting is one for the history books.
Indeed it makes sense that the famous faces that will likely wear the collection in months to come for red carpet events showcase the label’s latest wears. It aligns the celebrity's and brand's star power, while the breadth of ages cast spotlights the versatility of the fashion house’s clothes.
