World Food Day will take place on October 16 and marks the fourth year that Michael Kors has campaigned to combat global hunger.
Named as the Global Ambassador Against Hunger for the United Nations World Food Programme back in 2015, Michael Kors has continued to dedicate his efforts to the charity ever since.
And through the initiative Watch Hunger Stop, the designer has already enabled the United Nations World Food Programme to deliver more than 13 million meals to children in need and this year hopes to come one step closer to achieving a world without hunger.
Actress Kate Hudson has teamed up with the designer once again in support of the charity as she announced, “We are all responsible for making sure the world’s children grow up healthy, happy, strong and educated and that all begins with eradicating hunger.”
Every year, Michael Kors release a new Watch Hunger Stop t-shirt free of charge in stores across the globe during the weekend of October 15 to October 16.
In order to support the campaign, simply ‘wear it and share it’ by posting a selfie in the t-shirt alongside the hashtag #WatchHungerStop. For every snap that you and your friends share, 25 meals will be donated to the World Food Programme.
Michael Kors has also created a Watch Hunger Stop Snapchat geofilter that will launch on October 1. Simply pop into a selected Michael Kors store, snap a selfie using the special geofilter, and 25 meals will be donated to the charity.
You can also support the cause through donating money in selected stores and online throughout October.
