As well as her inspirational speeches, the work she has done to help young women, and *that * carpool karaoke moment, Michelle Obama will always be remembered for her excellent sartorial taste.

During her eight year tenure in the White house, Obama has been a huge champion for fashion, whether that’s wearing upcoming designers such as Jason Wu and Joseph Altuzarra, or bucking with First Lady traditions and opting for bold colours or out-there designs.

Speculation is rife about how Melania will approach her new role of First Lady, and while she may have looked to Michelle when it comes to speech making skills, she sure won’t be dressing the same.

One of Michelle’s go-to designers during her time in the White House, Sophie Theallet, has taken to Instagram to explain that she will not be dressing the new First Lady.

'As an independent fashion brand, we consider our voice an expression of our artistic and philosophical ideas. The Sophie Theallet brand stands against all discrimination and prejudice. Our runway shows, ad campaigns, and celebrity dressing have always been a celebration of diversity and a reflection of the world we live in,' Theallet wrote.

Theallet is not the only voice in the fashion industry to boycott the Trumps. Popular fashion site, [Fashionista](http://http://fashionista.com/2016/11/melania-trump-fashion

) wrote earlier this week that they will not be covering Melania’s style choices in the way they have with Michelle.
